Managing Partner – Founder Luisa Munaretto

Luisa has been a PE investor for 15+ years with an entrepreneurial drive. With a clear vision, Luisa led the setting up of IndEU strategy and operations since its inception. She played a key role in the company milestones bringing the strategic partner Olivier Dassault and then setting up the partnership with Bryan Garnier & Co in India to develop the financial advisory activity in India which is today complementary to the investment strategy.

As PE investor, Luisa has analysed more than 600 companies of which 50 for a strategy in India (some examples MCI, Yves Rocher, Mecamidi, Vygon, Boursorama, Penta) as IndEU During her career as PE investor she piloted more than 40 investments being board member of about 15 companies. Former Partner of 21 Investimenti, the private equity vehicle sponsored by Benetton family, she has played a key role in developing the family investment approach in France.

Being exposed to the BtoC businesses of the family (Benetton, Autogrill, Sportsystem) and being in charge of the BtoC investments of the fund, she acquired a deep experience in consumer & retail business as investment manager of Robe di Kappa (outdoor fashion), Enervit Protein (nutritional products), Albatros (designer & distributor of wellness tubes), Meccano (toys), Fountaine Pajot (luxury sailing catamarans), Century 21 (real estate retail chain). Luisa is today board member of Jeletl, a web business in the on line game space.

In addition to this industry, Luisa acquired substantial experience as investor in the healthcare (Sartorius-Stedim), industrial equipment (Mecatherm, Asteel, France Air), IT (Sword, Jet Multimedia), Events mgmt. (Créatif, Le Public Système).


Managing Partner - Founder François Arpels

Thanks to his unique "triple play” professional experience based on an intimate understanding of the luxury and premium brands market, investment banking, and a 20 year long close relationship with India,François has been strategic in setting up and managing the partnership with Bryan Garnier & Co in India as he heads the development of the financial advisory activity since 2010.

In his investment banker capacity, François is Managing Director at Bryan Garnier & Co leading the "branded consumer and luxury goods” practice as well as the development of cross border transactions with India. Clients that he has personally advised include Auchan, Bel, Bic, and L Capital (LVMH).

François has acquired a strong experience in the execution of complex cross border Mergers & Acquisitions involving several parties, geographies and business cultures that require his creative strategies and negotiation capabilities. In addition, he enjoys a wide network of privileged relationships with owners and the executive management of businesses and institutional investors.

In addition, François is co-founder of "Luxury Confidential”, an exclusive subscription based "think tank” initiative on the luxury industry bringing together, thanks to regular briefing letters, a community on the Web and several meetings a year, executives for discussions and exchanges about industry models and trends.

An entrepreneur at heart, François brought into India his own Mergers & Acquisitions boutique that he founded in 2005, prior to that, he had started in 1998 the first European "low cost business class” scheduled airline, and structured with Morgan Stanley in 1997, at the age of 25, a 250 million € LBO to acquire Van Cleef & Arpels, his family owned company that was eventually sold in 1999 to Richemont Group.

At Van Cleef & Arpels, where in 1984, at age 18, he became Board Member of the various companies constituting the group while completing his university curriculum, François was involved at various levels of the company in New York and in Paris where he was member of the Executive Committee more specifically involved in the development strategy of the group.
